Ahmed Bouidi
Born in Casablanca in 1967, Ahmed Bouidi graduated from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Casablanca in 1993. A visual artist, teacher and president of the Bassamat Fine Arts Association, he belongs to a new sensibility that has made research and experimentation its creative home.
The artist
Passionate about the brush and about experimenting with pictorial and non-pictorial materials on many supports, he moves fluidly from expressionism to other worlds, open to international styles. His works read as visual poetry, a ritual celebration of beauty, rawness and time.
The body, in the plural, is at the heart of his recent mixed-media work: it occupies most of the pictorial space and seems to call out to the viewer, while the trace becomes the paradigm of each painting. Addressing contemporary humanity through collective memory, his art seeks harmony rather than conflict.

Yes: within 48 hours in Casablanca and Rabat, three to four days elsewhere in Morocco; international shipping is quoted on request. Payment is made on delivery, by bank transfer or by cheque.
