Painter
Ayoub Amrani
Holding a baccalaureate in applied arts, a BTS in film set design and a higher diploma in multimedia, Ayoub Amrani teaches art awareness to young people. Influenced early on by academic classicism, he has developed his figurative painting since 2010, notably in the studio of the painter Saïd Housbane. From 2018 he gradually mastered large spalter brushes, which sharpen the finesse and elegance of a visual writing always devoted to the same anthropomorphic motif.
The artist
A calligraphic figuration, his work is defined by ample gestures choreographed to an inner music, in finely nuanced colours that recall his elder Najia Mehadji. Composed like musical forms, cantus firmus, nocturne, aria, rhapsody, fugue, serenata and toccata, his works together express seven states of mind, like the variations and modulations of a passing week.
