About Cheikh Zidor
Born in Fès, Cheikh Zidor trained at the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tétouan. He paints abstract compositions in oil and textured materials, often on large formats.
His work draws on the walls, light and white spaces of his native city. Spontaneous splashes and patches of colour emerge from deep backgrounds, in compositions built around form, movement and colour.
