Katerina Piven
Organised Chaos
The artist
"For as long as I can remember, art has been at the heart of my life. My artistic path began with bright colours and simple shapes, but over the years it became a more complex quest, in which abstraction became my language of choice.
My works strike a delicate balance between two seemingly opposing forces: the rigour of perfect alignments and the fluidity of natural, organic forms. This duality reflects my view of the world, where order and chaos coexist in harmony.
Each canvas I create is an invitation to dive into this universe, to lose yourself in natural curves while finding your way through straight lines and precise angles.
In 2011 I decided to settle in Morocco, a country whose varied landscapes and cultural richness have given me an inexhaustible source of inspiration. The light of the desert, the undulating forms of the dunes and the geometric architecture of the medinas have all fed my creativity and refined my style.
Today, every brushstroke I lay on the canvas echoes this story, a blend of my roots, my influences and my passion for abstract art. I paint to capture the essence of nature, to bring order to chaos and to share my vision of beauty with the world."
