Painter
Najla Lahbibi
Moroccan visual artist Najla Lahbibi was born in the coastal city of Safi and grew up in an artistic family. Drawn to drawing and colour from childhood, she first followed her parents' wishes and earned a baccalaureate in experimental sciences, then trained in fashion design, earning four diplomas. Refusing to let a career stifle her love of painting, she eventually left fashion to devote herself freely to the canvas.
The artist
She chose a style between Cubism and Surrealism to express herself freely and spontaneously through her own elements and colours. She has held several solo exhibitions in Morocco and Lebanon and taken part in group shows in Morocco and abroad.
