The work of Ahmed Lahmer
In the selection shown here, busy streets, figures and gateways sit alongside more abstract compositions. Textured brushwork gives buildings and clothing their rhythm, while broad fields of colour and fluid marks open up a different sense of space.
These paintings offer several ways into Lahmer's work: through a recognisable scene, the movement of a crowd, or the meeting of contrasting colours. The available selection includes acrylic paintings on canvas; each artwork page specifies its medium, dimensions and price.
The artist
Lahmer's interest in drawing began in childhood. He received his first paint box at the age of eleven and continued to learn independently. In 1998, he moved to Rabat to develop his practice and exchange with other painters.
His recorded exhibition history includes Annadira in 2007, the Salé Cultural Centre in 2008, and the Mohammed V Theatre and Bab Rouah in Rabat in 2009.

Each work may be reserved from its page via WhatsApp, or viewed beforehand at ARTWORKS, our gallery in Casablanca (Luxoria n°5, Avenue Ahmed Charci), during a private viewing by appointment.
