A Franco-Spanish artist, Christophe Miralles lives and works between Burgundy and Casablanca. He has received several art prizes, including the Prix Azart in 2005, and his work has been the subject of many solo exhibitions in France and abroad and has entered several collections.
Between two shores
His encounter with Morocco brought into his work influences from both sides of the Mediterranean, which have never stopped colliding since. Spanish Golden Age painting sealed his relationship to light; the combination of pared-down forms and delicate colour gives his paintings their sense of timelessness.
