Fatima Diouani is a Moroccan painter of naive art, a non-academic approach to painting whose figurative style sets aside the rules of perspective, scale, colour intensity and precise drawing.
The artist
In her work, objects do not shrink with distance and colours do not fade: vivid flat colours cover every plane of the composition and every detail receives the same care. The result is a world of wonder, charmed, amused and curious, with a scent of innocence, a freshness of expression and a seductive awkwardness that recalls the eye of childhood.
Drawing on popular inspiration, her paintings evoke a child's universe presented in a dreamlike way through a warm, even intimate palette. As André Malraux said of naive artists, they "dare to believe that time is nothing, that even death is an illusion".

Yes: within 48 hours in Casablanca and Rabat, three to four days elsewhere in Morocco; international shipping is quoted on request. Payment is made on delivery, by bank transfer or by cheque.
