Career
Born in 1975, Florence Arnold spent her childhood in Africa, between Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon and Algeria, then lived in San Francisco before settling in Morocco, the country she considers her land. For her, the driving force of art is love, the engine of life.
Gardens of paradise
Her recent work explores paradise as each religion imagines it, a peaceful and marvellous garden welcoming its children. Waves of moving paper spring from her works; uncaged by plexiglass, her dresses vibrate in the light, offering the viewer the vertigo of paper’s texture. Her quest, pursued with passion and rigour, seeks peace, purity and beauty.
