Né en 1984 à Guelmim, dans le sud du Maroc.
Passionné de dessin et de sculpture, il expose en amateur dès 17 ans. Déscolarisé, il tente une traversée clandestine vers les îles Canaries qui se solde par un échec. Après son refoulement vers le Maroc, il reprend ses études pour intégrer ensuite l’Institut National des Beaux-arts de Tétouan, dont il sort diplômé en 2009. Quelques années plus tard, en 2012, il déclare sa naissance artistique lors d’une performance hypnotisante sur la place Jamaa El Fna à Marrakech.
Mohamed Arejdal a pu poser les bases d’une pratique pluridisciplinaire grâce à laquelle il explore les liens entre groupes sociaux qu’il questionne lors de ses rencontres ou voyages. Ses performances artistiques occupent une place très importante dans son travail où il n’hésite pas à interpeller le public sur sa condition d’artiste, ou sur le sens de symboles puissants. Depuis 2008, Mohamed Arejdal a participé à plusieurs expositions et manifestations artistiques d’envergure à l’échelle nationale et internationale, notamment, la biennale d’art contemporain BIENALSUR 2019 à Buenos Aires en Argentine, les expositions « Poésies Africaines » et « Traversées », au Comptoir des Mines Galerie à l’occasion des deux éditions de la foire d’art contemporain africain 1 :54 à Marrakech, l’exposition « En quête d’archive » à l’espace « Silent Green » à Berlin, l’exposition « Le Maroc contemporain » à l’Institut du Monde Arabe à Paris en 2014 ainsi que l’exposition « Cette fois, le sujet est personnel » à l’espace Makan à Amman, Jordanie en 2012.
