Painter
Mohamed Assalmi
Southern Morocco is the main source of inspiration for Mohamed Assalmi, born in 1961. The expressions of faces, the colours of the earth, nomadic life, architectural heritage and the very particular light of the deep south hold his attention down to the smallest detail.
The artist
Through the maturing of his talent, his choice of themes and a daily search for the new and the absolute, Assalmi has built a name for himself and a style that is entirely his own. His work has been shown in Morocco and abroad, including Tunisia, Luxembourg and France.
