Othmane Tagmouti
Othmane TAGMOUTI est un artiste plasticien de 38 ans. Sa passion pour l’art éclos durant ses années d’études à Paris, où il découvre avec enchantement les musées et les galeries. Il commencera à prendre des cours de peinture dans de petits ateliers de son quartier. Charmé par cet univers artistique, il s’essayera même à la photographie et aura un penchant pour les clichés en Noir et Blanc. De retour au Maroc en 2005, il fréquente l’atelier de maquettiste de sa tante où il appréhende et s’initie à l’utilisation de différentes matières. Depuis cette période, Othmane n’aura de cesse d’expérimenter, dans son atelier de Casablanca, de nouvelles techniques et matières.

Il puise son inspiration de l’informalisme et du matiérisme, avec un penchant pour les matériaux bruts et élémentaires. La puissance dégagée par les textures lacérées, éraflées, surannées lui permettent une grande liberté d’expression et notamment sur des thématiques telles que l’usure, le temps qui passe et l’asservissement notamment.
