Painter
Chouaib Chkairi
Some artists paint people. Chouaib Chkairi paints what happens between them: presence, distance, solitude, connection.
The artist
A versatile artist
A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Casablanca, Chouaib Chkairi moves freely between painting, sculpture, photography and installation. With a shimmering palette, he shares his vision of life through warm canvases full of creativity and subtlety.
Paintings that ask you to come closer
His work relies on texture and contrast. It doesn't shout: it invites you to slow down, and the closer you get, the more it reveals. His paintings were shown at the very first exhibition of ARTWORKS by Moroccan Paintings. Read the story.
