About the work
Born in Marrakech in 1960, Noureddine Daifallah is a leading figure in contemporary Moroccan calligraphy: he replaces ink with paint and explores Arabic letters in dark, earthy tones. The Guggenheim Museum in New York acquired two of his works in 2002.
