Fatima Boussaid
Residencies shared with artists from Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Nigeria, South Africa or Angola: Fatima Boussaid’s practice is nourished by dialogue with the whole continent.
The artist
Career
A Moroccan visual artist and teacher of visual arts, Fatima Boussaid is an active member of the ARKANE association, which promotes art through residencies bringing together artists of many nationalities, in Casablanca, Bouknadel, Ouagadougou and elsewhere.
The energy of the residency
For Boussaid, these residencies are moments of exceptional creation and shared emotion, in which she has observed the ambition and effervescence of African artists. This experience of exchange runs through her own work as an artist and as a teacher.
